Spring Features

Herbs de Provence

One of my favorite seasonings to use is a french herb blend called Herbs de Provence.  I just love the way it makes my home smell when I cook with it.   A lot of companies make it with various blends of herbs.  You can even make your own if you like.  I tried a lot of different kinds before I found "The One."  So today I thought I would share my favorite brand and a few recipes that use this wonderful ingredient ............

In the fall I planted beets for the first time, specifically for making Beet Jelly.  But then I discovered a few more uses for the beet that I'd like to share with you....Like sauteed Beet Greens, and a wonderful cake that I'll be adding later this week.........so stay tuned!

I love sugar cookies and this is my favorite sugar cookie recipe.  They're soft and buttery with a hint of lemon.  And here's a tip my Grandma taught me.  Place a slice of bread in the container with the cookies and they will stay nice and soft.  I hope you enjoy this
