Link and Greet #22

Party and Features

Are you social? I try to be but it can be a bit overwhelming at times....As a blogger I understand how important it is to network every where I can......I really love Pinterest and I'm finally  gettin' the hang of my facebook page, but last week as I was posting my Top 5 party links on G+ I realized that every entry I had been makin' for the past few months was set to private. I was the only one who could see them.  I don't know why they have to make it so complicated. I really don't understand the whole circle, following, hanging out thing.......

And is a like following or is following a like or do they mean the same thing now?  And whats the difference in a share and a like?  I did  however figured out how to place a like button on my page.......get one @ Facebook Developers site......If you have a post about understanding all this socializin' lingo I'd love for you to share the link with us.......and now on with the party and the top five fabulous links from last week..............

Crock Pot Freezer Cooking 101 @ Six-Cents
Mini Raspberry Cheesecake Cups @ Cookin' Up Good Times
Tote bag from a souvenir shirt @ Aunt Nubby's Kitchen
New Garden Shed @ Kathe With an E
Firecracker Centerpiece @ Chicken Scratch

  9. Hi

    Thank you for hosting

I am new to the blogging world and have just entered the linky party round in the last two weeks or so

I put the hostesses button on my website and I notice from Site Meter that alot of people that visit the site might exit by clicking on a hostesses button.

If a linky party hostess DEMANDS that I also "follow" I do not participate.

FOLLOW to me brings back my church / bible days : "follow me "

In the blogging world if I end up "following" someone it is because their site drew me in and I wanted to go back. Their writing, photographs, personality, humor, etc makes me want to come back.

I am going to mark them to favorites and visit them more often.

To just click a button and say that I am "following" someone seems to shallow if I am not really doing so.

I think that I'd have to want to return to a website at least 20 times before I'd even consider myself a 'follower'

I put your button on my webpage, I have you marked to favorites, and in the morning with my first cup of coffee I am going to explore your content and visit at least five of the others in this party. When I do I will leave comments

I do the visit / comment thing to be polite and participatory in every party so far..

Had you DEMANDED that I follow I would have not joined up

That's my take on the 'follow' thing :)

You are more likely to get some honest feedback from a newbie, right ? :)

    1. Thanks so much for adding my link to your side bar.......I understand completely about FOLLOWING maybe we should call it subscribing instead........anyway I NEVER check these things.... and I just ask that people please follow ......I don't delete people for not following.......Links build SEO and relationships thats why we have parties following just helps us keep up with each other better.......I my self love to follow new bloggers as a way of encouraging them the same way I was encouraged when I first started.....good luck with your new blog and thanks for the comment... Subscribe if you like : )
