Scenes from the Heartland
Hey ya'll I'm finally back home and ready to party again. We went home to visit the Grandparents in Oklahoma and Texas and had a lovely time. Since I didn't have a party last week I don't have any features to share with you but.....I have a few pictures we took while we were visiting that I thought you all might enjoy. My husband got a new camera and I think he took about a million pictures.......here are just a few of my favorites...
 |
| This old barn seems to have seen better days, yet nestled between a still pond and a rain filled sky its breathtaking. |
 |
| No other scene can make my heart fill with pride than that of a field of freshly baled hay. I think of the work involved and the uncertainty of that way of life. Storing up hay for their livestock never knowing if the rains will provide another opportunity to bale again. |
Ok I'm finished philosophizing over Dragonflies and hay bales .......On with the Party!

Beautiful photos!!! I especially like the last one of the baled hay. Thanks for hosting...

ReplyDeleteThe first thing that caught my eye today were the words Oklahoma and Texas. My Mom's family is from Oklahoma and my Daddy's family is from Texas. I grew up in Texas. I loved your photo's and if you hadn't told me I wouldn't have known that sunset was a work of photo shop. lol
