Bad Bananas
I always seem to have bananas going bad on the counter. The natural thing to do with them is to whip up a batch of Banana Bread. But if you don't have time, peel them and wrap them in plastic wrap then place 'em in the freezer. Make that banana bread later or add them to a fruit smoothie. If you do make Banana Bread with 'em I'd like to share my favorite recipe.......It's moist inside and the outside doesn't get sticky and I guarantee it won't go bad setting out on the counter....because it will be gone in no time : )

Tips:
When making banana bread, the riper the bananas the better. Bananas get sweeter as they ripen. Ripe bananas are also good for helping to settle an upset stomach.

NO matter what size bunch I buy, I always end up with one or two bananas too many! I love the idea of freezing them. Then I can whip up some banana bread when I'm ready. Great tip! And your recipes never let me down!
ReplyDeletePerfect timing. I just got bananas on sale , 2 pounds for 99 cents. because they were over ripe. So I will be trying this recipe.

ReplyDeleteYumm! We always make banana bread because when we go to the store my daughter begs for bananas and never ends up eating them. Maybe she just wants them because she knows I'll make banana bread with them when she lets them get brown. ;) We will have to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing at our Pinteresting Party.
