K5 Learning Program Review

Summer Learning

Well summer is here and school is finally wrapping up.  Now what?  May I suggest you keep those little minds sharp this summer with a great online program called K5.  I received a free trial to write this review and  I  we love it.  As a homeschool mom I have  used other online programs.  They were tedious, it was like pullin' teeth to keep my son on task.  This program is unlike any other out there.  Here's how............

• It's learner led:  Meaning your child can do it without your assistance.  It has clear graphics for non-readers to understand and a speaker emblem to click and have the directions repeated.  As a homeschool mom I worry that my kids depend on me to much having them do the lessons on their own is a plus for me.

• Work at your own pace: Students can choose to continue or stop after each lesson.  There's no timer on the screen and they're not penalized for wrong answers.  I have to tell my son when It's time to stop because he would stay on all day.

• Detailed Reports: K5 keeps track of your child's progress through very detailed reports that are also easy to understand.  An added feature is the ability to add spelling words to the spelling list.  For instance you can add words to the list that might be in the books your child is reading this summer.

• It's encouraging.  After the child completes a task neat little cartoon graphics bounce across the screen saying GOOD JOB!  I love hearing my son giggling while he's learning. 

  

• K5 will create a tailored program for your child:  Just sign up for the assessment.  And the next day it will be there for your child to complete.  The following day you will receive an E-mail with the results.   From that point on the program will be set up at you child's level.

• Free Trail:  K5 is offering a free 2 week trial, no credit card required.  After the trial is over if you wish to continue (and you will) It is $25 dollars a month for the first child and $15 for each additional child.  Which is an extremely good deal for what you are getting.
