Garden Journal
I love to plant perennials, mainly because I'm frugal and I love things that last. One of my favorite plants which is actually an evergreen vine, is Confederate Jasmine. I wish you could smell it.......I have it planted next to the front porch so we can enjoy the sweet smell while we relax on the porch swing in the evenings with a glass of sweet tea and maybe a big slice of, "Buttermilk Pound Cake".........
My neighbor gave me a huge Yucca plant in the fall. I planted it right in the ground since the winters are mild here. It is at least 10 feet tall and has a ton of new growth this year.
My next garden project is to plant some Geraniums in containers for my patio. Burpee has an amazing variety of Geraniums for a great price and they are offering viewers

Do you have all of that already? I think I do remember that you are in the south. I could be wrong. Those are beautiful flowers and beautiful pictures. We are way up in the north and just have tulips and daffodils so far.

I really enjoy seeing all these great photos!
I enjoyed looking at your beauties. I am planting Jasmine and bougainvillea this year. I may also add a rose bush. I saw two recently that I liked. One was orange (not peach or apricot). The other I am waiting to see in bloom before deciding. The bud is the whitest white with spaltters of bright red. Now that you said Iris's spread and can be shared easily I will look into when to plant them here.
ReplyDeleteI love jasmine! Especially at night when they are so fragrant. Thanks for linking up.

I'm a big fan of perennials too. The jasmine is especially beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your favorites! I am a fan of perennials too, but I love to hear what others like and to get new ideas. That jasmine looks amazing and I have never heard of that particular variety before. I LOVE the irises as well and my neighbor brought some with her when she moved from Long Island and gave some to me (we are in MD)mine don't do nearly as well as hers do because of the amount of sun they get, but I love them.
