Save time and Money
I don't buy pre-made mixes any more because I like to control whats in our food. Which means a lot more work for me. So I started making these bulk recipes up. They really are a life saver when I'm tired or in a hurry..... This brownie mix is good and fudge-e, but if you like your brownies cake-e add a little more water.......

What a clever idea! I don't buy mixes anymore either. Everything is from scratch, but sometimes I'm tired, and a mix would be convenient. This would make a great gift at Christmas too!
ReplyDeleteAgain, I love your bulk mix ideas! I'll have to pick up one of those bins from Walmart next time I'm there. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this! I also loved your pancake mix idea too! Such a time saver. I can't wait to pick up my containers, and try your brownie mix ;)!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try this and the other bulk mixes.

A few extra minutes could help all of us stop from reaching for box mixes out of convenience! Even a last minute dessert could come together quickly with this mix!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! Definitely will have to try these! Thanks for sharing -and for including the label!
ReplyDeleteI've never used mixes. Always made brownies one pan at a time, but this sounds worth a try. Just hope I don't end up making waaay more brownies! HAHA:-)
ReplyDeleteSounds good!

I do love bulk recipes. My house is much smaller now but enough brownie mix to make a pan looks pretty in a cellophane bag tied with a ribbon. Include instructions and you have a perfect hostess gift or birthday or anytime gift!
ReplyDeleteThat is a fabulous idea! Thanks for the recipe. I am going to have to do this! Thanks for sharing at Thursday's Temptation.

ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea Deana. I like fudgy brownies so can't wait to try this! You need to write a book.
ReplyDeleteVery clever girl! And I could use a little chocolate right about now!
ReplyDeleteThis is a really great idea! Thanks for sharing at my party! Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteThese brownies look really good, I like fudgey brownies. I like the idea of making the mix ahead of time so that its ready whenever you want brownies. Thanks for sharing at Showcase Your Talent Thursday. I hope to see you there next week!
ReplyDeleteI too try to make everything "homemade" instead of store bought. This is a great idea for how to store it (beats my ziploc bags!). PS - I dropped by from Flamingo Toes.

I already bookmarked this recipe! Thanks for joining Southern Sundays. I'll be announcing the featured recipes next week. Hope to see you at the next party with another great item!
ReplyDeleteMmm! I am a fan of bulk mixes! I store mine in glass only, because I try to avoid any type of plastic touching our food (my husband works in the food packaging industry, and even BPA free is full of nasty chemicals that can be harmful to your health!) You can usually find large glass jars around the same price of plastic if you shop around or find them on sale!
