Old-Fashioned Sugar Cookies


Simply Delicious

I love sugar cookies and this is my favorite sugar cookie recipe.  They're soft and buttery with a hint of lemon.  And here's a tip my Grandma taught me.  Place a slice of bread in the container with the cookies and they will stay nice and soft.  I hope you enjoy this

  2. Except for the lemon extract, these are just like the ones that my mother and I have made for the past 50+ yrs. She found the recipe in a 1954 Children's Highlights magazine. Wish I had the ingredients on hand! Thanks for reminding me of some great memories.
