Kids' Activities

suni St. Patricks Day
is more than Lucky Charms and Leprechauns.  It's a story of forgiveness and sharing  the gospel.  Teach your kids the true meaning behind the holiday this year.  Here's  a  free printable activity and a great cookie recipe to help you get started............

Decorating sugar cookies is a fun way to celebrate anything.  Use clover cutters and teach the lesson of St. Patrick while the cookies are baking.  Outline the cookies with thick icing using a piping bag and a small tip.  Then fill squeeze bottles with the thin icing and let your kids fill the middles and decorate with sprinkles.  While the icing sets up have them do the following activity and teach them about the Trinity.

Did you know St. Patrick was kidnapped as a teen and sold into slavery in Ireland.  He escaped and returned later to preach the gospel to the very people who had enslaved him.
This is a good lesson on forgiveness.  Forgiving others and how God forgives us of our sins when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savoir.
Matt 6:14-15

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
