Heavenly Marmalade
Today was a lovely day for
canning....These little gems came off
a tree we planted last summer...
If you have never canned
before Jellies and Jams
are a great place to start, no
pressure cooker required and
its so much healthier than store bought
with all its preservatives, GMO's and
corn syrup not to mention the pesticides
used on the fruit.....and Its cheaper:)

How nice to be able to make your own marmalade! That's one fast growing tree too if you only planted it last year!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE marmalade. I started eating it by the spoonful in rice or tapioca pudding. Thanks for this recipe. We have pretty much switched to making jelly only when we need it, which rare. I just cook up a small batch, with whatever fruit we have around.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. I'm lucky to have a step-mom who has been canning away all season, but we don't have anything quite like this. The colour is amazing! I saw some kumquats at the store the other day, I might just try this out.
ReplyDeleteI've made my own blackberry jam, but never marmalade. Thanks for the recipe! And thanks for sharing on Crazy Sweet Tuesday! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never canned before and that jelly looks good enough to cause me to learn! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks good! New Follower! Come by and visit me at http://raisingdieter.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteThis is something I really want to try this year - my family did a lot of canning when I was growing up, but now I live in the city and have never done it on my own (though farmland is not far away for fresh fruits and veggies in the summer). Though I have to confess - I have never tried a kumquat before! What do they taste like?
