Decorated Sugar Cookies

My favorite thing to do at Christmas
time is to break out the cookie
cutters and have fun baking and
decorating with my kids...

This sugar cookie dough is easy to
work with and using the outline and
flooding technique will give
them that Gourmet Cookie look...

Roll out dough to 1/4" thickness

Make sure they are completely cooled
before decorating

No fancy equipment needed
I used a freezer bag and nipped
off the corner

After outlining spoon thinner icing
into the middle

With a butter knife or toothpick
pull the icing into the corners

So thats it... place sugar pearls on
or sprinkle with corse sugar
Look at what a good job Jack did..

  1. I am going to have to try this recipe. My husband loves sugar cookies. I tried other recipes but he saws thier to soft. He likes them a little crispy. Maybe I need to cook them longer.
